let our government fix all of your problems for you, because it can if you believe it can, believe, you pay for it

i want more officials voted into office who want me to do better for me by me, through hard work.
that said, bigger things dont
necessarily mean better things, plainly.

my mom says dont help.

(i dont want to be labeled or seen as unusable–i have hands, feet, & a head, like most.)

more bloat, more unhinged, more confusion, thanks Chuck Todd… And CNN… Their ads…
my television and your Facebook tells us so.  gives me something to fear about today.

QUICK look over there:
more taxes, more need for unnecessary, IT’S necessary–we make it so, so…

but come November forget what we charge you to be in charge of you and remember to vote to look good not feel good.

(i think i can do anything, or most things, when i think i can do those things.  irregardless of production or support. )

still throwing money at something
without a plan is still throwing money
at something without a plan still: blue solutions = bigger institutions.

when you fail to plan, you plan to fail, so many have said.

i want local politicians to stop talking
and stop taxing and stop spending on special interest and change
the size of the potholes on my Midway block,
change the size of my American made pockets and pocketbook to bigger, and less empty.

(i have a goal and lists and chores that could use it. :))

yet many worry about how someone in a white house might do something that the media says is such and such and that is not good, you must obey that thought and act on it without question…  but it probably wont happen. very unsure..

you know the guy down the street in charge of the town wants to have you pay him more money, right?  his buddies up the way want to gather more bucks from you to give as gifts in their honor to their voters to keep them in charge…  you pay for that probably.

tho maybe your tax dollar flies overseas
for things you dont believe.
tho maybe those taking have unknown friends
with no sight of the end. IDK.

could use space, could us paper with faces on it as well to better my community, my yard, my rental, my commitment, my family, my potholes–like the ones i give you.

i want to change my life for better every day–i try,
with every dollar of my time it takes, then those
around me will be better themselves too,
with their time the same. just good old fashion trial and error.

i have a plan.  plans…
capitalist for hours and minutes, optimizing my abilities and resources.
even if one is anger or disdain or confusion.

could drag just about anyone and their name through the mud.
that’s easy. thoughts of what was.

and usually when i ask for handouts it’s into a mirror with silent facial expressions,
usually i can find crumbs, water, and hope.

usually when i ask for handouts i dont ask, i ask but it’s remote.

Interconnectivity

Emboldened symbols
cut with meaning of

three hundred million heads
colliding

over a spider web cache:

How will I think for myself?

Faces that were there (Less Dead)

I saw a reflection of a painting

of smiling faces
across a plastic desk display;

Each crack & line came shown,
each emotion came expressed.

And even in that brief one-off moment,
compared to vis-à-vis
with the ever-connected living,

they come across as less dead.

Her Morning Alarm

Crickets wake me in the morning,
Even in the middle of white winter.

They chirp and buzz and shake
And vibrate and annoy and call-

Moments later my partner is slapping
Them hard to death, they die direct, -fast.

The next morning they come back to
Life as if nothing has happened at all.

Everyday Horror

In a quiet room
Surrounded though alone,
Eyes stare blankly-
Mind’s stuck in a phone.

Don’t make plans, make Progress

Blow a hundred hours on the internet
Think about the things we don’t have yet

However, I’m doing just fine with what I’ve got
When I take the time to look at belongings, I realize I’ve got a lot

Reality of what’s right in front of me
I could take the time to walk, but I’d rather flee

I’ve seen a few things in my life span
But I always account for what’s within the trash can

We can learn a lot about self from the books on our shelves
If we take the time to cherish what’s been spelt out

We can count the moments we save time for self
We can accept that as time for mental health

Alles tag
Alles tag

A new obstacle to climb

Alles tag
Alles tag

Another voice filled rhyme

Why sit inside and cry?
Or in the meantime, ask why?

Moments fly by
Then we realize

The good things in life fall from the sky
No one can surmise the actual surprise

***

Quit goddamn planning for things…
Don’t make plans, make progress.

Facebook Famous Twin Cities

You’re the next everyone else,

Lest you be yourself.

Caption Queen amongst the memes.

Twit wit shit list.

And we’ve only come to the talk in Uptown.

Facebook Famous.

Reddit a Million times.

No more waiting in line.

Status update: Fine.

Googley eyes.

A Wikileaks work week.

And we’ve just come to a stoplight on Nicollet in Downtown.

Watching the clock, listing, clicking, trolling, scrolling…

Wasting time.

Fuck going outside,

I sit back and recline.

And we’ve just been stuck inside.

All night out.

All day in.

All living in sin.

It’s a hit with the cool kids.

What’s a book?

What’s a park?

What’s a walk?

Loving it.

And the lit up screen in front of me keeps me out of the dark.

Dial tone on the phone to text.

Who needs to talk?

Life is complicated,

And complex.

Depressed and unable to rest.

Wake to a beep, everyday things in my nightmares mar my sleep.

Thank god it was just a dream.

Again, I reach for my phone.

Notification with a beep alerts me.

And we lie in a bed in Marcy Holmes.

I’ve seen things on my feet:

From the free clinics to the free church dinners,

Social media makes everyone a winner.

Or the ice couldn’t get much thinner.

All over these deep waters.

You see?

Just click.
