so much variety a person couldn’t find the same publisher in a room of twin publishers, with the same ideologies and inspirations and movements and where their coffers catch ($)

i took Sunday full

O’ fatty bacon ends
and dirty dishes, and
sunlight on the
blue kitchen floor.

here we talk aloud
about running the
nation as if it’s
even a possibility.

i like the way flesh
smells in the air,
when the cast iron
is heating its oils.

outside a bell chimes
in soft March winds,
the sound: my relatives,
the sound sustains.

it was eaten all up
the while, the same.
it was good, and
i took Sunday full.

and i would write
about real, jokingly.

and i would listen
to podcasts, hopefully.

member drives that murder my ears

a week in, my radio becomes desperate,
it needs money–needs, it needs me to
do my part. i usually just listen and
i don’t need to do anything. i sit on
the floor for stretches, smelling the bacon,
as the toast goes in. a two car crash doesn’t
look good, a bicyclist was involved,
near Ham Lake, it sounded tragic.
now they want to give me something.
i want to win, the odds go up, the moment
is exciting, this is important, become
a member! yesterday, in class, the call
came in, i was busy. i knew what it
was all about. again, hang out on twitter,
yesterday is gone, this prize is yours, now,
just donate. don’t they get money from
the government as a public entity?
they don’t discuss this. member drives
always kill me because i write language
for free, i don’t ask for money, it’s a public
service too, it’s beautiful. this channel makes
me want to start my own member drive,
makes me want to change the station.

unknown variables

And I thought about organized religion
And I thought about government control
And I thought about the power of money,
And all of these thoughts concerned me.

Why they did, I do not know.
Why they did, I do not know.

NBD MPR

Listen:

Black ice with a dust of snow;
Causing foul for the work commute.
Dramatic TransAsia plane crash,
Beheadings and rebel fighting too.

-How about you?

Today’s News is blasé-

Most are concerned about the reality of:

Student debt,
Health insurance,
Early class start times,
And designer coffee that is simply too hot.

They keep us distracted and informed.

The Theory of Thought

The theory of thought
Went out for a walk.

It was there on its own,
It needed naught for a home.

It walked by in due time,
Past the people in line.

When it was asked to come back
It protested with attack;

It hit and it punched,
It scratched and it killed.

It never stopped,
It was horrified and thrilled.

So when thought came back to this present location
It spoke to all those leaders of this great nation.
Thought said, “Use me or lose me, it is very true,”
“I was only here from the beginning to help you.”

*
Now there is proof for the thinker.

Noble Inquiry

Gatorade and Smokes,
MH-17 and Jokes;
People die,
Rebels lie,
And this concept seems remote.

Just ask CNN my friend.
you know they know, you know.
Stateside,
Lounging poolside,
Just hoping these floaties float.

Peace is always an option,
I think about this as I laze in the sun.
Long day
Hot ways
Realize the damage that’s been done

: Sunburn.

Revelation: Gatorade is for athletes and alcoholics.

American Sonnet

We lost the interest before we began

Moving fixed posters on the thick walls

Level-headed distinguished man

Digging hard and working all

Sight beheld in the palm of worn hand

Many created problems we’ve called

We never tried to make a plan

Sedentary thoughts prove scrawled

From Forefather’s will in our acts we’ve strayed

Many against the conservative man

Labels aren’t of working clay

Written books in stern pale hand

Lest knowledge gone, saves the old way

Covered maps in possessive words to understand

Ponderings of the lighted day

Proven by those that they can stand

Mixed pot of melting to tell

Ignorant jump so high for frail joy

The inner workings of this great hell

Innocent lost those few trained boys

White colors cast the witch’s spell

Conjured up in those open young and coy

That symbolic dust holds to the clouds well

Annoyance of such fickle vetted choice

Locked into strict box orthodox-stayed course

The American Dream’s been broken and forced.

In So Many Words…

The shorter the writing project the harder it becomes.  I have this problem where I write a million or so words and still say nothing at all.  I can’t speak of a single entity within a plethora of black and white lines and dots.  Copious language utilized to convey squat.

The sentences are great, the structure is fine, but the content is shit.

I guess it’s the best written material ever.  I truly enjoy the act of writing, so it has to be, right?

Typing, fingers on the keys, creating something visually appealing on the desktop screen in front of me.  Almost no errors, and it flows, but it says nothing about anything; who I am, or where I live, nothing of relevance or significance-really.  I guess it says I have issues.

This might not be a problem but a successful catalyst for confusion and boredom. An escapist’s venting of real world fixations, deadlines, and the harsh realities one is not quite ready to confront, let alone accept, maybe…

And then I think…

Why change that which is so innately us?  I guess why change the government?  Why change the status quo?  Why change the us we know?

The title of this piece is “Art”.

Why change that too?

Blue Sky Float By

Guten Tag:

We spoke in intrusive sunlight of lacking shade.

We spoke of latter days.

We spoke anyway.

Yoga attire balanced high wire; elegance at foot, gracefully placed.

The looks that took.

Buses and bikes passed, and stopped, as cars drove on.

Dew covered leaves, bright colors scatter the green grass ground,

Only to break, crush, and turn brown, all spinning around.

When asked about this conversation I said I didn’t know.

There was no answer,

to no question.

Somethings just mentioned.

One can liken it to the blue sky; no sum, just something beautiful, an entity floating by.

Lessons we learn on the whim of a wave of attention.

Moving as fleeting dust from fluttering sparrow wingspan.

Trivial sorts affection.

A dram of logic,

Stop this human project.

As we walk and flow through others,

On separate paths,

We have but such a chance to interact.

The total might be intrigue indeed, ask and you shall see.

GERN.

Ich mag Diskussionnen.
