I wonder how much #WordPress makes for these advertisements…

we are the coffee pot high marks,
cold shower goose pimples,
cold shell outdoors,
adverts between posts
machines making money, the most,
and living on piqued hopes.
i wonder where they come from?
reality attuned–or askew?
skilled in many topics,
including topics like you,
including flying to the moon,
including AC in June.
but that’s logic anyway.
still no idea really.
can’t care: too many mouths to feed.
too many days not fishing,
too many walks in the weeds.
i still see my dad in me.
haven’t visited that stone though.
like elvis, tupac, and biggie.
somewhere exotic, secret home, alone, you know.
i am cheap coffee grounds, again.
barely breakfast, usually little lunch.
no inheritance.
words between ads that don’t pay me.
but i pull for that company.
thanks wordpress.
thanks, now i care.

unknown variables

And I thought about organized religion
And I thought about government control
And I thought about the power of money,
And all of these thoughts concerned me.

Why they did, I do not know.
Why they did, I do not know.

Paper for Paper

We are dictated by ink and dead trees.

We create paper,
To be judged on paper,
To attain paper,
In hopes that that paper will put paper into our pockets;

-Paper for paper.

We are dictated by ink and dead trees;
-This paper,

Any way you call it.

***

Ink:: “Ink can be a complex medium, composed of solvents, pigments, dyes, resins, lubricants, solubilizers, surfactants, particulate matter, fluoresces, and other materials. The components of inks serve many purposes; the ink’s carrier, colorants, and other additives affect the flow and thickness of the ink and its appearance when dry.”

Paper: “Paper is a thin material produced by pressing together moist fibers, typically cellulose pulp derived from wood, rags or grasses, and drying them into flexible sheets. Paper is a versatile material with many uses. Whilst the most common is for writing and printing upon, it is also widely used as a packaging material, in many cleaning products, in a number of industrial and construction processes, and even as a food ingredient – particularly in Asian cultures.”

Money Does Not Matter (Lavish Habit)

A weekend’s worth of cigarette smoke.

In lungs as it was,

Now

An empty yellow pack
on a cluttered coffee table;
an Indigenous effigy affixed on the front,
laying creased and crushed.

Then:

Dirty caked pealing fingers
Hangnail cuts a cloth uneven
Expensive wines stained flesh
Blood let late this summer that went

I spent two weeks in one night…

On:

Raw Oysters,
sitting next
to
translucent green Seaweed
whole and Uncooked Quail Eggs
there they lay
bei
pinked cuts
of Expensive Fish.

Let’s not forget the numerous rounds of cloudy white sake.

Champagne flow pained frontal lobe.
Nights let grow, as days let wane.
Through campus- through school,
on legs that bend- shooting pain.

Feeling as crumpled paper; trashed.
Sprawled across the lawn in the grass,
People playing games as I move past,
A backpack fully packed, on back.

When: all of sudden preparation for another week began.

And I have to leave it at that.
Money does not matter.

Cash for Compromise

Local daily rags adorned capital paid ads
Words minced in between seldom seem
Pin-prick point disorder has been had
Cash for incompetence, that’s wastefully redeemed

One needs a paper shredder for some sort of pleasure
This old-time failing marketer’s scheme upon me
From what I’ve seen there are no stories to treasure
Eyes on the prize, a fat hand full of cash it gleans

Politics and stance change like the weather
The reader is the one losing sight of what’s seen
You read this, you read that; for the assumed equal measure
Avert inquisitive eyes, these lines of falsehood reign supreme

But what I ask in my own research is:
Who is pulling strings behind the scenes?

As one can say in full-view glory
It feels wonderful to produce an untainted story.

Who pays you?

Who writes your stories?

Are they the same person?

On the Balcony with Love (at the Kitty Cat Club)

On the Balcony with Love

By Terry Scott Niebeling

Outside of the house

Watching droplets all

They bounce up in the sun

Lit sparkling they fall

Sunlight how nice

Made an ass of self

For getting after my girl

On account of my fault

Amber transparency

Whiskey glass fixed

In a cold dark corner

Full beer can of tricks

Bikers sit in the light

Talking weather and trash

They deliver their product

They careen as they pass

Balcony noise raindrops loud

Cars go by, and up, and around

Melt snow liquid moves splashing through

University sign scrawled illuminated blue

Machine gun fire streams

They fall from above

Perspiring from the heavens

Yellow orb showing love

Sit sip this splendid thought

Read and ponder this springtime hot.

Sorority Girl Trash

Follow splashing trash goop.

This proves a stinky stench remembrance upscale neighborhood.

Sorority Row-near Como.

A black liquid slimed along the pavement.

Aroma to high heaven alerts my senses,

External cost of who shall remain unmentioned, nameless.

Closed windows, narrowly drawn minds;

Bright skimpy clothes hang along a limp clothes line.

But, hey, this is outside.

Looking towards that glowing orb in the skies-

As I ride by.

In all that haze…

All these thoughts, yet there is only one thing holds my mind-

I can’t be late this time.

Consumption is a problem in so many ways…
